This is an old revision of the document!
Welcome
This wiki is provided and information shared by the Virtual-Scan.com team and friends. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive wiki sharing everything we can about how to do Veterinary MRI.
We will be continuing to grow the content in the Knowledge Portal.
It's getting better every day.
The Blog:
Remote Scanning from ACVIM
The crew was busy setting up the booth at ACVIM today, and while setting up and figuring things out, there were scans that needed to happen for patients. Scott and Gareth got into the groove while we tweaked the network and VPN configs for working well from the convention center. These are probably the first MRI scans ever done remotely from a convention center.
Knowledge Portal
Official site name is now the “Knowledge Portal” or maybe “MRI Knowledge Portal?”
Bookmarks for ACVIM
Stop by Booth 247 at ACVIM for a “bookmark” and maybe some other fun items. ACVIM is June 19-21, 2025 in Louisville.
Greg and Mike are having fun with their 3d printers making fun things with the ends of rolls. Usually it's “Brain Cases” or “Button Pushing Devices” or “Patient Positioning Jigs”. There is serious work getting ready for ACVIM. We'll be doing remote scans, live, at ACVIM to demonstrate.

Virtual Scan at ACVIM June 19-21, 2025
The crew is excited and will be at Booth 247 near the Knowledge Center and tables at the ACVIM Forum at the Kentucky International Convention Center, Louisville, Kentucky. We expect to be doing actual remote scanning on-site as a demonstration of our technology and people. You will experience what it's like to work with Virtual-Scan remote technologists as they coordinate with on-site staff using G.E., Philips, Siemens and Toshiba MRI scanners.
Got questions about Veterinary Imaging? We would like to help in any way possible.
Picture is the back of Greg (left) and Gareth's (right) heads as they discuss a scan and how to make it even better, from remote:
